How to Skillfully Criticize Your Kids

Many people would have such a problem that is how to criticize when children have done something wrong. It is really a serious problem, for that child is very independent today. There are two wrong attitudes for parents when their children have done something wrong. On one hand, parents often blindly accuse of their children, even hitting them when they make a mistake. And on the other hand, parents just let their children's bad behaviors go unchecked. Both of the two attitudes that the parents show are not good for the development of their children. Nowadays, parents need to learn some skills on criticizing children, the right attitude will help children to form a good personality, but the wrong attitude would only make the result counterproductive. So, there are some useful skills you can follow when facing such problems.

Speak in a low voice

Many parents would feel very angry when they children have done something wrong, and they may express their angry in loud voice to criticize their children. Actually this is a silly behavior for that child will have a rebellious behavior to your blame. Parents should speak in a voice that is lower than normal to criticize the child. A "low but powerful" sound will cause the child's attention, and also can easily make kids pay attention to what you say. This means is better than yelling at your child. Children have rebellious natures, so you have to learn the right way to teach them.

Keep silence

Once, a child has done something wrong, he would always worry that parents would blame him, but if you do as what he think, then he may probably have a "relief" feeling, disapproval of criticism and their wrongdoings. On the contrary, if parents keep silent about children's wrong behaviors, children will feel nervous and "uncomfortable", for that they have no idea about what action you will take to them, so, with the nervous and fearful feeling in their hearts, they would make a confession on their bad behavior to parents.

Give a hint

When child is at fault, if parents can calmly inspire children, but not directly criticize their mistakes, then children will quickly understand the intention of the parents, and are willing to accept criticism and education. This behavior is very good, on one hand it protects the child's self-esteem, and on the other hand, it makes children to confess their wrong behaviors on their own will.
